Drain Cleaning in San Diego
Cabled, hydro-jetted, camera-verified. We don't leave until the line runs the way it should.
The three ways drains clog around here
North County drains fail for pretty consistent reasons. Diagnosing right beats guessing every time.
- Kitchen lines - grease, coffee grounds, and food solids build up in the 2" branch behind the sink. Bio-films from years of buildup make new clogs happen faster.
- Bathroom lines - hair and soap scum in the 1.5" trap arms and vertical stacks. Very common in homes with three or more bathrooms sharing a single stack.
- Main sewer - root intrusion through joints in older clay or cast-iron lines (a big issue in Rancho Bernardo and Poway homes from the 70s-80s), or bellied pipes where waste settles.
What we bring to the job
Cable augering (drain snake)
The right tool for most branch clogs - kitchen sinks, tubs, showers, bathroom sinks. We match the cable and cutter to the pipe size so we clear the blockage without gouging your line.
Hydro-jetting
4,000 PSI of water to scour the inside of the pipe back to bare metal or plastic. This is the right tool for grease-heavy kitchen lines, restaurant mains, and any drain that's clogging repeatedly. A snake cuts a hole through the clog; a jetter removes the whole coating.
Sewer camera inspection
Every serious drain call gets a camera go through it after the clog is cleared. You see the pipe on the screen with us. If there's an underlying issue - a root ball, a broken section, a belly - you'll know before we leave, and you'll know exactly where in the yard it is.
What it costs
Standard branch drain (sink, tub, shower): flat rate quoted at the door. Main line clearing: quoted after we confirm access to a cleanout. Hydro-jetting: quoted separately after we diagnose. You approve the number before we start - always.
Repeat clog every 6-12 months? That's a sign there's a bigger problem in the line - belly, roots, or a missing cleanout. A camera inspection tells you which one, and often saves thousands in the long run by fixing it once instead of paying for snake calls forever. See sewer line repair for what happens next.
